They would particularly like to thank the outstanding production team at ITV who produced a fantastic night of entertainment. Their ability to successfully overcome a small technical difficulty in the second half and conclude a fabulous night, proved beyond doubt their abilities in 'live event' broadcasting as being second to none. The stage sets, the quality of the acts, the choreography and the stage management of over 2000 performers was truly breath-taking and indeed, ground-breaking. A huge vote of thanks must go to John Kaye Cooper, Lee Connolly, Fiona Clark, Christian Fletcher, Paul Kirrage, Mark Wagman and Amanda George.
Our Events team at the EABF are also due special recognition; huge thanks to Carol Fowler, Lorraine Crowther and Cathryn Tomlinson.
The hundreds of staff at the Lowry were also absolutely outstanding, and their professionalism in accommodating such a unique show was a real testament to their skills in running a world-class theatre and venue. Many thanks to Tony Smith and Sally Anderson.
The EABF would also particularly like to thank Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal and Vice-Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, KCVO, CB, ADC(P) for their attendance on the night. Their presence was hugely appreciated by all concerned and we were all so pleased to hear how much they enjoyed themselves.
