Frank Matcham (Theatre Architect 1854-1920) designed this supreme masterpiece
The London Coliseum in 1904 as the flagship venue for his chain.
Happily the theatre survives largely intact as the home of the
English National Opera.
The theatre has recently completed a magnificent £41m
major refurbishment in time for this years centenary celebrations.

Crown Group
Crown Society provided the catering for the
2004 Royal Variety Show and The Royal Box

.

.

After the first Royal Show on 1st July 1912
at The Palace Theatre, Shaftsbury Avenue, London
In the presence of  Their Majesties King George V and Queen Mary
The King said he would attend a once-yearly variety show provided the profits went to
the Variety Artistes Benevolent Fund as the EABF was then known.
The Entertainment Artistes Benevolent Fund has been honoured  by Royal patronage ever since.
The Royal Variety Performance provides most of the funding to maintain Brinsworth House
the Funds home for retired members of the entertainment profession and their dependants.

The 2004 show is the 76th Royal Variety Performance,
for 16 years the RVP was not presented owing to world conflict and Royal Family mourning.
Since that first event, over six thousand artists from all over the world have given
their services freely to the Entertainment Artistes' Benevolent Fund.
